What used to be called Infotrac Onefile is now called Academic OneFile. The new version of the Infotrac databasecontains substantially larger numbers ofacademically-oriented,peer reviewed, full text articles from more than 10,000 leading journals in all fields from science and technology to the humanities. An especially useful set of journals recently added includes Lippincott Williams and Wilkins health science titles. In addition, the full text of the New York Times is also included, back to 1995.
The familiar search interface is still there, but with some enhancements such as numbers of results appearing on the search result tabs. Printing, emailing and saving are also still available, but through an easy to use red “tools” box appearing on search screens. Also, Infotrac will now check your spelling and suggest the right word if you spell something wrong.
We think you’ll find the enhancements in both content and searching to be a big help in your research assignments. Academic Onefile can be found under “Articles & Databases” in the Beginning Research and Multisubject Database categories.
Happy searching!
